Employee Motivation
Drives, needs, wants or desires of a person identifies as the
motivation where the concept originated from the word “Motive”. Motivation is considered to be the most imperative substance for any institution exists in the
public or a private domain (Chintallo & Mahadeo, 2013).

and bonus (Zameer et al., 2014) impact employee motivation (Rashid and

organization. (Matheson, 2012) argued that employee work motivation is a
combination of psychological and social fundamentals as Coercion and Job
security, Material rewards, status, social acceptance, sense of meaning,
intrinsic rewards.

Rao (2008) said that when employees work to the best of their
abilities and do their work with passion, enthusiasm and high commitment the
business will grow significantly and continuously.
Thomas J. Watson, the founder of IBM states, “you can get capital
and erect buildings, but it takes people to build a business” (Snell &
Bohlander, 2012, p. 1). Jack Welch, the former director of General Electric
also commented that human resources are the backbone of the organisation due to
the fact that they develop and use technology, they contribute great ideas for
product development and deliver superior customer services, they collect,
analyse and distribute information, and they create and execute strategy (Rao,
2008).
Accordingly, the maximum potential and the commitment can be
expected from an employee when they are motivated and inspired. When the maximum
potential has unveiled the performance of the company will get a positive effect.
